We
welcome to the 5:00p.m. Saturday Mass,
Mater Dolorosas Alumni group of
1972. The former classmates are
celebrating their 50th birthdays, by
coming together for Mass and then they
will have a small celebration in the home
of one of their friends. We are pleased
that they have chosen to return to Mater
Dolorosa as a group, and that Mass is a
part of their reunion and their
celebration.
May
God bless them in all their
endeavors.

Dear
Friends,
Thank
you Brian Dunleavy, Angie Pasamba
and Bettina Yap, and many, many
others, for the wonderful job you
did of putting on our 3rd Annual
Christmas Concert: Good
Tidings of Great Joy. Many
of my priest friends came from
the surrounding parishes and
couldnt get over how
professional, how joyous, the
concerts were. Thank you, Brian,
Angie and Bettina, thank you
Hallelujah Chorale and Cherubim,
for getting Mater Dolorosa into
the Christmas Spirit. You are
all a great blessing to the
parish.
A
couple of months ago, I was in
Bethlehem, Palestine, celebrating
Mass for my pilgrimage group. In
a couple of days time, I will be
celebrating Christmas Mass here
at Mater Dolorosa. I would like
to wish all of you, the good
people of Mater Dolorosa Church,
the happiest Christmas ever. May
the Christ Child that came to us
on that first Christmas Night,
continue to bless you and all
your loved ones. Among the
priests in the San Francisco
Archdiocese, I am most blest to
be your pastor here at Mater
Dolorosa.
Merry
Christmas!
Father Brian
|
|
P.S.
Please remember in your
thoughts and prayers
Father Padazinski who is
in Greenland with our
troops during the
Christmas holidays. He
is definitely
missed!

Our Christmas Giving Tree is up in the
vestibule of the church through December
25th. We would like you to purchase Target
gift cards, rather than gifts for the
needy families in our parish community.
Please pick an ornament tag
that indicates purchasing a $10.00 Target
gift card. You may bring them to the
rectory or drop them off in the Sunday
collection basket.
The
members of the Society of St. Vincent de
Paul thank you for your generosity and
support!
Our
Rectory Office will be closed from
December 24th to January 2nd for the
Christmas break.
